The Brocade M1620 SAN Router is a competent and cost-effective multiprotocol storage switch. It connects to IP backbones, Fibre Channel fabrics and a broad range of end systems. The Brocade M1620 supports standard protocols, such as iSCSI, iFCP and E_Port. It can be used at the same time for business maintenance, disaster recovery, storage consolidation and remote tape vaulting, along with content distribution, and iSCSI access to Fibre Channel storage.

The Brocade M1620 is a low-cost solution for midrange companies. It provides wire-rate performance on all ports and FC, Ethernet, iSCSI and iFCP connectivity on demand. Additionally, it has Fast Write technology which maximizes throughput across long distances. It provides E_Port for incorporation into existing multi-vendor fabrics.
