Matrix E1
The Enterasys Matrix E1 is the third generation
of flow-based switching which offers 10/100Mbps and Gigabit workgroup
connectivity.
Users benefit from granular, firewall type of control of access,
authentication, authorization, bandwidth, protocols, applications and users.
Visibility is extended beyond the port or the VLAN to the individual
conversation.
The Matrix E1 can handle the requirements of demanding bandwidth enterprise
applications such as videoconferencing, distance learning, intranet and Internet
connectivity. The Matrix E1 inspects and classifies incoming traffic, makes
forwarding decisions, enforces security and QoS policies, finds attached voice,
video, and data users, applications and devices, and authenticates them on every
interface.
