Matrix N
The Enterasys Matrix N Standalone is the fourth
generation of flow-based switching from Enterasys which offers 10/100/1000Mbps
and Gigabit workgroup connectivity.
Users benefit from firewall type of control of access, authentication,
authorization, bandwidth, protocols, applications and users. Visibility is
extended beyond the port or the VLAN to the individual conversation. Role-based
policy control is extended to hundreds of users or devices attached to
third-party networking equipment, wireless infrastructure or VPN’s. This is all
based on an open architecture built for multi-vendor interoperability to protect
users’ assets.
The Matrix N Standalone inspects and classifies incoming traffic, makes
forwarding decisions, enforces security and QoS policies, detects
voice/video/data users, applications and devices, and authenticates them
simultaneously on every interface.
