Purpose-built for inline network-wide deployment, the SecureIron™ LAN switch family offers Layer 2 through 7 security functions not available in other network security switches. Powered by the Brocade SecureWorks™ software suite, these switches are designed to protect the core network. Using hardware-assisted SYN-Guard™ networks are protected against multi-gigabit wire-speed SYN flood attacks.

SecureIron™ LAN switches are available in two performance models and form factors, for easy integration into existing networks. A fully front-serviceable 5 Rack Unit 4-slot chassis offering expansion capacity and port density, or a highly-compact 2 Rack Unit 3-slot chassis for deployment in tight spaces.

The ability to add additional or replacement modules enable the SecureIron™ LAN switches to provide long service life. An optional hardware SSL acceleration module enables high-volume authentication in large campus environments. Standard features also include Network Class Resiliency, High Density Ports, Direct Desktop Protection, and Full-Function Layer 2 Switching.
