The HP ProCurve Wireless Access Point 420 is a single radio, IEEE 802.11g access point, making it ideal for use in medium to large wireless LAN deployments. Support for IEEE 802.11i, WPA2, and WPA, as well as multiple SSID, wireless ad hoc network and rogue access point detection, provides secure access to network services. External antenna configurations are available to improve performance and radio coverage.

Adjustable power output and the ability to control cell size make the HP ProCurve Wireless Access Point 420 a perfect solution for high-density access point deployment. Remote management and configuration are available through a command-line interface (CLI), or a Web browser. By selecting the appropriate country, the access point automatically configures itself to comply with regulatory requirements for the deployment location.
