The HP StorageWorks 4/256 SAN Director is a highly reliable, flexible, high performance platform that supports the most demanding data center applications. Flexible scalability for large core-to-edge SAN architectures is made possible by offering up to 384 ports in a single domain. Next generation performance and faster fabric services are made possible through the use of redundant 4Gb/s accelerated processors.

Redundant central processors and hot-swappable FRUs allow the HP StorageWorks 4/256 SAN Director to support “five nines” availability. Multi-protocol and LUN-level zoning features offer support for optional Secure Fabric OS, as well as the creation of a secure infrastructure. Fabric bottlenecks are avoided through the ability to create up to 32-port trunks, and efficiently utilizing inter switch links.
