The HP StorageWorks 4/64 SAN Switch provides flexible connectivity in a performance-level storage area network (SAN). The standard configuration includes 32 auto sensing 1, 2, or 4Gbps Fibre Channel ports, with the option to upgrade to either 48 or 64 ports. Additional ports can be added in increments of 16 by purchasing an upgrade license.

Redundant, removable power supplies and cooling make the HP StorageWorks 4/64 SAN Switches ideal for supporting corporate infrastructure implementations. Hardware and software enforced zoning, and web management tools are included. Included Power Pack software includes Fabric Watch, ISL Trunking, Extended Fabric, and Performance Monitor.

The HP StorgeWorks 4/64 provides a high-value option for environments that do not require the capabilities of a director-class fabric core. Backwards compatibility with existing 1, 2, and 4 Gbit/sec devices helps to protect existing investments, and makes integration into existing installations easy.
