The HP StorageWorks 4/8 SAN Switch offers 4Gb connectivity and the ability to grow to a core-to-edge infrastructure for entry-level storage area networks (SAN). Administrator productivity is increased through the simplicity and ease-of-use, while also lowering the cost of management.

The HP StorageWorks 4/8 SAN Switch comes equipped with eight high performance Auto Sensing ports. Additional ports can be added in increments of 4 ports for a maximum of 16. Backwards compatibility with all previously installed 1,2, and 4GB switches, storage consolidation and simplified management of data center SAN environments help to reduce Total Cost of Ownership.

The high performance, affordable, flexible connectivity provided by the HP StorageWorks 4/8 SAN Switch enables small and medium sized organizations to easily deploy SANs. An optional HP Power Pack Software Bundle provides the necessary tools SAN administrators need to monitor the health and performance of the network
