The StorageWorks 60 Modular Smart Array helps small and midrange businesses manage their growing storage needs by offering a flexible, low cost tiered storage system. Up to 5.4 TB (SAS) or 12 TB (SATA or SAS MDL) of total storage is available per enclosure. Higher levels of reliability and redundancy can be achieved by moving to a dual domain configuration that uses a second I/O Module. This helps to reduce or in most cases, eliminate single points of failure in the storage network.

The StorageWorks 60 Modular Smart Array provides a flexible end-to-end SAS host modular platform in an external 2U disk drive system. Direct attach customers will enjoy the added flexibility provided by the ability to mix SAS and SATA drives in the same enclosure. Storage capacity can be increased easily by connecting up to 4 enclosures within a single controller port. Server disruptions are kept to a minimum thanks to the hot plug capability of power and cooling components as well as the drives.
