The ProCurve Switch 2600 PWR series includes a variety of stackable, multi-layer, low-cost switches with three different port configurations. The configurations include 48, 24, or 8 auto-sensing 10/100 ports, with dual-personality ports for 10/100/1000 or mini-GBIC connectivity. These dual-personality ports enable optional fiber connectivity such as Gigabit-SX, -LX, or –LH. Auto-MDIX allows all 10/100/1000 ports to adjusts for straight-through or crossover cables.

The ProCurve Switch 2600 PWR series switches are compliant with Power over Ethernet standards, and supply up to 15.4 watts per port. This allows the switch to supply power to devices such as Web cameras, IP phones, and wireless access points. The included 9.6/13.6 Gbps backplane enables low-latency throughput via the wire-speed non-blocking architecture. Network loop prevention and redundant linking are enabled by using Spanning Tree Protocol (IEEE 802.1D).
