The HP ProCurve Switch 5400zl Series is available in a 6 or 12-slot chassis, with a purpose-built, programmable ProVision ASIC as the foundation. The included integrated PoE+ on 10/100 & 10/100/1000Base-T ports, 10/100, Gigabit and 10G interfaces, and available form factors, provide scalability, flexibility, and excellent investment protection. Advanced reporting and monitoring services are handled by RMON, XRMON, and sFlow v5.

Automated device discovery, and easy network mapping are provided by the use of IEEE 802.1AB Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) in the HP ProCurve Switch 5400zl Series. Dual flash images provide backup during system upgrades by utilizing independent primary and secondary OS files. The flash images also have the capability of storing multiple configuration files.
