The NetScreen-5000 series is a family of firewall/VPN security systems. They are designed to deliver a new level of capabilities for large companies, carrier, and data center networks. The NetScreen-5000 series has of two products: the NetScreen-5200 system and the NetScreen-5400 system. NetScreen-5000 security systems combine firewall, VPN, DoS and DDoS protection, along with traffic-management functionality. The NetScreen-5000 series offers scalability and flexibility. Both of these products utilize a switch fabric for data exchange and separate multibus channels.

Some of the key features and benefits of the NetScreen-5000 security systems include a modular security system that offers flexible and scalable solutions and a wide variety configuration. The Virtual System support allows partitioning into multiple security domains and they are also have customizable security zones. This increases interface without additional hardware costs.
