The Juniper Networks Secure Services Gateway 5 (SSG 5) is a security product that delivers a combination of performance, security and LAN/WAN features for small branch office and small business environments. Traffic can be protected from worms, Spyware, Trojans, and malware by security features. This includes firewall, IPSec VPN, IPS, Antivirus, Anti-Spam, and Web Filtering.

The set of UTM security features allows the SSG 5 to be installed as a standalone device. The SSG 5 can also be installed as a traditional branch office router or as a combination security and routing device. This helps to reduce IT capital and operation expenses. The SSG 5 is a fixed form factor platform that provides 160 Mbps of firewall traffic and 40 Mbps of IPSec VPN.
