Nortel VPN Routers are a family of products
delivering security and IP services in a single combined platform. Targeted at
the wide-area network, the Nortel VPN Router family is optimized to take
advantage of the cost return of the Internet while providing secure
communications across the public IP infrastructure. A single Nortel VPN Router
provides IP routing, IPSec and SSL-based Virtual Private Networking (VPN),
firewall, encryption, authentication and bandwidth management services in a
highly-integrated platform.
Nortel VPN Routers connect remote users, branch offices, suppliers, and
customers with the cost and performance advantages of public IP networks and the
security and control found in private networks.
The Nortel Secure Network Access Switch 4050 delivers Nortel’s combined
access policy functions. The SNAS 4050 acts as a centralized “controller” that
delivers unified access policy and admission control for wired, wireless and
mobile users/devices. The SNAS 4050 is tightly integrated with network access
elements such as Ethernet switches (Nortel as well as third party), WLAN
controllers and VPN Gateways to deliver flexible infrastructure options.
